choirs or individual singers (grades 3 through 5) from the region are
invited to sing with the Omaha Children’s Choir and Nebraska
Academy of Vocal Arts for Abendmusik’s Seventh Annual

Saints’ Episcopal Church in midtown Atlanta, since 1998. In
addition, Karol serves as co-director and faculty member for the
Choristers Guild Institute, a three-summer certification program for
children's church choir directors, and also for Lutheridge Music Week
in Arden, NC, an innovative music & worship-filled week (July)
1st graders through adults.
The children will learn four pieces in advance of our festival day with their home choirs or at group rehearsals at First-Plymouth Church on Wednesdays starting January 11 – February 8, from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Then the singers assemble on Festival Day to rehearse with Karol Kimmell. This year's festival will culminate with the children singing in a noon performance in the beautiful acoustics of First-Plymouth Church's sanctuary.
