A Midday Soirée with Poulenc & Duruflé

Sunday, February 15 at 4:00 p.m.

The University Singers and conductor extraordinaire Peter Eklund bring us the crème de la crème of the French choral repertoire — Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem.     One of America’s most promising young conductors, Christopher Lees, shares his joie de vivre in his Lincoln debút featuring Francis Poulenc’s Concerto for Organ, Strings, and Timpani with the Abendmusik Orchestra and organist par excellence Tom Trenney. This tour de force is sure to have that perfect je ne sais quoi for both amateur and connoisseur! Arrive at 3:00 p.m. for our pre-concert talk, where we’ll discuss the history of the pieces and their composers.
