Handel’s Messiah & Bach’s Magnificat

Sunday, November 30 at 4:00 p.m.

As Thanksgiving weekend ends and before the rush of the holiday season begins, Abendmusik welcomes you to receive the gift of two treasured, timeless, sacred     works. We will be transported by the holy strains of Johann Sebastian Bach’s magnificent Magnificat, paired with George Frideric Handel’s monumental Messiah. A highlight of the program is the grand finale, when the audience is invited to join Abendmusik’s ebullient Chamber Choir, Soloists and Orchestra in singing the heroic “Hallelujah Chorus”.

Tidings of Comfort & Joy

Saturday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, December 21 at 4:00 p.m.

In the frenzy of the holidays, our shopping and baking and decorating and entertaining and wrapping and ribboning can overwhelm us. The commercial novelty of “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls,” “Frosty,” and “Rudolph” can drain us. Abendmusik promises a meaningful spiritual experience to revive your Christmas spirit with tidings of the comfort and joy of this holy season. Experience         beloved carols sung by the angelic voices of the Plymouth Choir, accompanied by the Plymouth Ringers, the Abendmusik Orchestra, and the Lied Organ.
